Christening 15th September, 1708. Elizabeth, the daughter of Mr. William Betterley, schoolmaster, and Elizabeth his wife.

Wiliam Betterley, clerk, B.A., was appointed Head Master of the *College School, 12th Dec, 1707. He was presented by the Chapter to the Vicarage of Stoke Prior, 5th May, 1718; he resigned and was presented to the Rectory of Broadwas,
18th August, 1720. He continued to hold the Mastership until his death in 1733. *[Kings School]

Thomas Milea, Clerk, B.A., was presented to the Chapter living of Stoke Prior, 18th August, 1720, on the resignation of William Betterley, and was elected Head Master of the Cathedral School, 23rd June, 1733, after Betterley's death.

"That John Everton and Jane Munn of this parish were married at the Cathedral near Worcester on February 3rd by Licence, and William Steed and Elizabeth Jones likewise of the Parish were married at St. Peter's in Worcester on February 7th by license and Richard Bowcott of Pencombe in Herefordshire and Elizabeth Clarke were married February 9th by virtue of banns published in Broadwas Church by me William Betterley Rector of Broadwas."
