John Francis Greswolde Willams.

To the right is a plaque sacred to the memory of the Wood family.

to the Memory of
Richard Wood Esquire (Late of this Parish)
who died on the 21st of August 1839
in the 83rd Year of his Age.
Also
of CATHERINE his beloved Wife who died on the 30th
of September, 1829 in the 72nd Year of her age.
Also
of JEMIMA WOOD their eldest Daughter
who died on the 14th of November, 1842 .
Also
of Mary Crane their third Daughter
who died on the 4th of June, 1824.
Also
of ELIZA HADEN their fifth Daughter
who died on the 16th of September, 1825.
 
 



THIS MORTUARY CHAPEL WAS ERECTED IN 1879
UPON THE SITE OF THE EAST END OF THE OLD CHURCH
BY JOHN FRANCIS GRESWOLDE WILLIAMS
IN MEMORY OF
HIS GRANDFATHER AND HIS SISTER AND BROTHER
WHO ARE INTERRED IN THE VAULT BENEATH

JOHN WILLIAMS, OF PITMASTON, IN THE COUNTY,
BORN 8TH AUGUST 1773, DIED 12TH JUNE 1853.

ANN WIGLEY, BORN 23RD APRIL 1812, DIED 6TH MAY 1842
ABEL LUDLAM, BORN 14TH NOVEMBER 1844, DIED 7TH DECEMBER 1845.

CHILDREN OF FRANCIS EDWARD AND ANN WILLIAMS,
OF THORNEY COTTAGE DODDENHAM,
AND GRANDCHILDREN OF THE ABOVE NAMED JOHN WILLIAMS.
