While the New Bridge at Knightwick was under construction, changes to the road way on the East Side were in progress. Here the view is from the bank looking down on what will become the new road way. The lorry is more or less on what will be that new part of the road and you can clearly see what part of the old road will form the lay-by that you see today. Basically it stretches from the left to the right hand side of the photo where the car is parked and where all the ground pipes are piled up. In the distance below the tree line can be seen the course of the River Teme as it is forced Eastwards towards Worcester and its eventual joining up to the River Severn at Powick by the Osebury Rock formation.
