Knightwick New By-pass, and Bridges under construction (Berrows Newspaper Friday 18th July 1958)

To the left is a photograph of myself, Philip Holland.
I am in the garden at the Post Office Knightwick.
The caravan behind me had a family called Taskers living in it.
Mr Tasker worked on building the new embankment from the new footbridge downstream along the area below the Talbot Hotel car park. This had to be put in place, as after the centre pier of the old bridge had been removed, the river began to erode this bank, and today had the work not been carried out, there would be no Talbot car park. Here are the Tasker children, Billy Tasker and his sister. I am sat in front of them.
Billy was older and spent morer time with John Blake, but his sister often came over the road to play with me.
Often though we would all be out together, along with John's brother and sisters who were triplets; Anthony, Rosemary and Veronica Blake.
The Blake family lived in the cottage, first on the right as you travel up the road to Suckley from Knightwick.
