Patrick & Timothy Parsons - outside the Post Office, Knightwick.n motorbike with sidecar.

How lovely to have this [Many thanks to retired Lieutenant Colonel Pat Parsons, for this photo]

Pat is standing with his brother Tim; on right of photo. Their parents were Doctor Tony and Mary Parsons, and they all lived at Woodford House. They are both standing in front of the Post office, where I was born in 1949. Just imagine how dangerous that fence behind them was, but no H&S in those days! You can see St. Mary the Virgin church in the background, and although it is a clear blue sky and sunny, it must be winter time as there is ice on the ground and the boys are wrapped up warm.

Pat said that the photo was taken on Boxing Day 1964. One of the things that always happened on Boxing day in those times, was that the local hunt would meet at the Talbot Hotel, and everyone would gather around to see them all off; after they had all enjoyed a little tipple, usually a Sherry or two!
